RBN v12 is now official analysis engine, RBN v11 retires

Today, RBN v11, which has served on-chain data since 2022, is shut down, and replaced by the new back-end engine RBN v12. RBN v11 was a marvelous piece of code showcasing that that R-cran is an extremely capable language. It is likely the longest running R code ever. I love R!

The new RBN v12 is a different beast - built to leverage multiple languages, and far more powerful than RBN v11. Still, I am moved to say goodbye to R.

For science and statistics, R is still my first choice.

Bitcoin Lab lives on serving on-chain data. It is the analytical engine serving fresh on-chain data directly as new blocks hits the chain.
