History
The journey began with the establishment of the Bitcoin Researcher Lab (yes, that’s me) and a deep curiosity to truly understand Bitcoin. After reading the Bitcoin White Paper, I embarked on a mission to access raw on-chain data by running my own node.
As a scientist by profession, I recognized that this was an emerging field with no established experts. In fact, I suspect that very few people at the time had ever worked directly with raw on-chain data.
To address this gap, I developed the original RBN software (built in R, for those familiar with statistical programming). This tool was designed to crawl and analyze the blockchain effectively. In 2021, I launched the first free suite of on-chain charts, marking a significant milestone. Since then, the codebase has undergone numerous iterations, introducing a range of new features, including the most recent addition: the API service.
